Kira

kira gsd

This little girl is 8 year old Kira who will need an experienced owner who can give her the time and exercise this dog needs.  She does pull on the lead and will need further work on her recall, is protective of the home but will settle when a stranger visits.  It would be best for her to go to a home with no children or other dogs.  The new home will need to have GSD experience and provide her with guidance and stimulation and in return will have a fantastic loving little dog.

Max - Birmingham

black german shepherd dog max

This now lucky boy is 6 year old Max a long hair fluffy GSD who has now been taken in by the rescue and being taken care of, by one of our fabulous fosterers.  Since in her care he has been taken to the scare dressers for a much needed bath and groom and is looking absolutely fabulous; he is now enjoying the company of 12+ dogs.  He is a friendly dog who enjoys a cuddle and tummy tickle.  He previously was brought up with children, is housetrained but will require further obedience training. A lovely dog who needs a home of his own preferably with an active family who can continue to give him the love, attention and socialization he deserves.

Buddy - Hereford. Comes with free ball!!

buddy german shepherd

Buddy is a very large but very skinny 5 year old male who is a victim of neglect out of ignorance. Buddy was bought as a puppy by disabled people in their 70's and consequently has not been given the attention and exercise that such a large dog needs. He came in seriously underweight with chronic diarhhoea, sore ears, runny eyes and overgrown claws. He weighed just 29kg when he should probably be around 45kg for his size. He has had problems with his digestive system which is being treated although Buddy may have an underlying allergy to some foods so will need to be fed either raw food or a senstive dry food. He is a wonderful example of the breed with a super temperament. He generally ignores other dogs, loves people and even greets the postie with a big waggy tail. He pulls a little on the lead and he always wants to carry his ball with him. He is a very large shepherd and when up to his full weight he is going to look magnificent.

Scout - Boston

scout rewcue german shepherd

This handsome devil is Scout. He is in the same rescue as Hedges, they share a bedroom and get on really well. He also shouted alot through the bars but when out was very happy and interested in all around him. He is also a long stayer in kennels and would dearly love to find his forever home and start to enjoy life on the outside. Scout will also need an owner with exp of the breed to help re introdce him to everything that is good and exciting in life, he gets on really well with Hedges but kids and cats are unknown.

Hedges - Boston

hedges rescue german shepherd

This lovely girl is Hedges, she has been in rescue for approx 3yrs through no fault of her own. She did the usual barking at the volunteer through the bars of the kennel but when out did not say a word......just ate her biscuit!! Whoever takes this girl on will need to give her time to adapt to living in a home again after all her time in kennels but i think with some time she will make someone a super friend. She is at present sharing a kennel with Scout a male shep also a long stayer at the rescue. It is not known how she is with kids or cats so a home without or teenagers would be better. She will need someone with exp of the breed to help her start to enjoy a fab new life! Contact Allison Clarke 01623 798943 when you have had your home check only.

Bourbon and Breeze - Stratford upon Avon

bourbon and breeze

This gorgeous pair are Bourbon and Breeze (darker one of the 2) aged 3 & 5 who would dearly loved to be re-homed together.  Both neutered, micro chipped and vaccs due in Feb 11.  Both good with children and cats; Breeze is good with dogs but Bourbon is a little nervous following an attack by another dog.  Bourbon is also wary of strangers at first but will settle and will enjoy a fuss.  Both dogs are housetrained and have good recall; however Bourbon does tend to pull so some lead training is required.  A beautiful pair who ideally would like to be re-homed together and will give so much love.

Izzie - Hereford

izzie gsd

This is the gorgeous Izzie.  A loyal, affectionate 6 yr old unspayed bitch.  She is currently in foster, is very well house trained and has good basic commands but needs work on her recall.  She is vocal with people coming to the house when her people are at home; otherwise she is quiet when on her own.  She walks well on a check chain or halti.  She needs to be kept on complete dry food.  Does get on with some dogs but would be best to be rehomed as an only dog, definitely no cats and ideally with older children.  Izzie does not travel well and the fosterer is working with her on this; she is apparently crate trained.  She has an undershot lower jaw but eats well and picks up her balls, toys with no problems.  She has no food, bed or toy aggression.  Izzie would ideally suit an experienced home who will provide her with the love and care she so deserves.

Alice - Dogs Trust Evesham

alice gsd

Alice is a very pretty spayed girl of 2yrs who was originally a stray. She is a bit nervous so would be better in a house without young children. She gets a bit stressed and barky when she meets other dogs so may be better as an only dog even though she has lived with other dogs before. She was rehomed but got over the fence and killed the neighbours chickens. The owners do not want to part with her but the neighbour has threatened to shoot Alice.

Samson - Kettering

samson white gsd

Samson is a 1 year old entire, white semi coated male.  His vaccinations are due Jan 11, not micro-chipped.  He is not used to children and although he lives with 2 other dogs he will try to dominate which can lead to a fight.  Definitely no cats.  Samson will need an experienced owner who will be able to sort out his issues, he will need expert training to bring him on, he has the potential of being a good dog in the right hands.
